Pontoon rental rules and guidelines
- All pontoons should be
inspected by a Native Bay employee prior to rental and any damage should be
noted prior to leaving the premises. The renter will be liable for any damage
that occurs while rented including loss or destruction of any supplied property
of Native Bay. It is the renter's responsibility to review checkout form and
renter must initial it before leaving. After the pontoon is returned, a Native
Bay employee will check for any new damages. Estimated replacement cost of
lower unit: $1,200.00 and propeller: $85.00. Any damages or loss will be
charged to the renter.
- The renter is responsible
for full payment upon checkout. If mechanical problems occur while the pontoon
is rented, Native Bay will attempt to determine the problem and try to rectify
it. If it is determined by Native Bay that a problem exists, Native Bay will
try to replace the pontoon. If Native Bay determines that there is no
mechanical defect, the renter will be responsible for full payment. If
mechanical damage occurs and it is determined to be the fault of the renter,
the renter will be charged for any recovery costs and replacement costs. Any
repair or replacement costs charged to Native Bay as a result of damage caused
by a renter will be available upon request for the responsible renter to
review.
- If boating is not possible
due to severe weather conditions, the renter will not be charged the late
cancellation fee.
- Native Bay is not
responsible for any personal property of the renter. The renter is responsible
for all legal violations while in possession of pontoon. The renter agrees to
assume all responsibility for the rented equipment including loss or damage by
theft, fire, accident, or neglect, and agrees to hold Native Bay harmless from
any liability whatsoever resulting from the use of said equipment and further
that this property be used solely by the renter and no other persons without
the consent of Native Bay.
- Rental prices include full
tank of gas and oil. Life jackets are supplied by Native Bay. No pets or
grilling allowed on pontoons. There is a $50.00 late return fee plus $50.00 for
every additional hour late. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit
card number including expiration date. Cancellations with no charge allowed up
to one week in advance, there will be a $50.00 fee for cancellations within a
week of reservation date.
